All is Merry and Bright!

Oh how I love Christmas! This was the first year that Greg and I have not gone somewhere else for Christmas. We stayed home and had some family come to us. It really was nice. My parents and brother came and spent a few days with us. We had a pretty quiet Christmas Eve. While I was growing up my mom would always read us our tried and true family favorite Christmas stories so I asked her to bring them for our Christmas Eve. We had a haphazard Nativity Scene. Baby Jesus would not sit still and ran around the room swinging Grandma's cane at every one and every thing. We had various people being Wise Men, Shepherds or both. The next morning we opened our stockings and then went down to the basement to see what Santa had left. Nathan got a new bike, Andrew a HUGE Nerf Rifle, and David a brand new Cozy Coupe and was elated. Then back upstairs to open up all the under the tree stuff. We had our traditional Christmas morning breakfast of cinnamon rolls, orange rolls, sausage and pancakes. It was a wonderful day. Santa also brought the family a new computer, so there has been a delay in my blogging while we have been transferring all the old junk to the new computer and getting things all set up.

Gifts from afar. Wise men brought a nice gold box that had been put into a treasure chest. And I think a binkie ended up in there, too. Baby Jesus would probably have been grateful for a binkie.

Now I know where I should have gone for breakfast on Christmas morning! I love that the wise men brought a binky to baby Jesus. (Nothing says "Peace on Earth" at our home more than a binky, if you know what I mean!)

I have fond memories dressing up to do the nativity.
And those are some pretty cool guns!
